Privacy Policy

Ratioed ("we", "us", "our") is a conversation analysis app. This policy explains how we handle your data.
The short version: We analyze your screenshots to give you insights, then delete them. We don't store your actual messages. We don't sell your data.
1. What We Collect
- Account info: Email address and authentication data when you sign up
- Screenshots: Images you upload for analysis (temporarily processed, not stored permanently)
- Analysis results: Your scores, stats, and detected patterns (no actual message content)
- Usage analytics: Anonymous app usage data via PostHog to improve the service
- Purchase history: Records of token purchases (processed by Apple/RevenueCat)
2. What We DON'T Store
This is important:
- Your actual messages - We never store the text content of your conversations
- Your screenshots - Deleted immediately after analysis is complete
- Conversation content - Our AI reads and analyzes it, then it's discarded
We only keep the numerical stats (message counts, ratios, scores) - not what was actually said.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide conversation analysis and results
- To save your scan history so you can review past analyses
- To process purchases and manage your token balance
- To improve the app based on anonymous usage patterns
- To send important service updates (not marketing spam)
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted services to run Ratioed:
- Supabase: Database and authentication
- Anthropic (Claude AI): AI-powered conversation analysis (see details below)
- RevenueCat: In-app purchase management
- PostHog: Anonymous analytics
- Apple: App distribution and payments
Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for them to function.
5. AI-Powered Analysis & Anthropic
Ratioed uses Anthropic's Claude AI as a third-party data processor to analyze your conversations. Here is exactly how your data is handled:
What data is sent to Anthropic:
- The conversation screenshots or text exports you upload for analysis
- No other personal data (such as your name, email, or account details) is sent to Anthropic
How your data is processed:
- Your screenshots or text exports are sent to Anthropic's Claude API via encrypted HTTPS connection
- Claude extracts message content, identifies speakers, and detects conversation patterns
- Once the analysis is complete, Anthropic does not permanently store your conversation data
- Anthropic's data retention and privacy practices are governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy
Your consent:
- Before your first scan, Ratioed asks for your explicit consent to send data to Anthropic's AI service
- You may decline, in which case no data will be sent and no analysis will be performed
- Only the conversation content visible in your screenshots is shared — no additional personal information
In summary: Your conversation screenshots are sent to Anthropic for analysis, then discarded. Anthropic does not use your data to train their AI models via the API. We never send your email, name, or account info to Anthropic.
6. Data Security
- All data transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted)
- Passwords are securely hashed
- Database access is strictly limited
- Screenshots are processed in memory and immediately deleted
7. Data Deletion
You're in control:
- Delete individual scans from your history anytime in the app
- Delete your entire account in app settings
- Email us at support@ratioed.app to request complete data removal
When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Ratioed is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or email.
